At Simply Meats we understand the importance
of food safety for our consumers.

Health and Quality

Our test and release programme means customer health is never at risk. Products are sold as ‘ready to eat’ and are not released to the market until confirmed verification that they meet the NZ Food Safety Standards.

Farm-to-table

We source our meat from accredited abattoirs within New Zealand and Australia. Testing is carried out regularly to meet food standards before distributing to our customers.

We want our customers to be confident Health and Safety is never compromised at Simply Meats when meeting product quality standards. Production must meet the stringent expectations of our MPI approved Food Control Plan.

Food Control Plan

Our customised Food Control Plan is based on HACCP principles, meets the requirements of MPI and AsureQuality accredited third party auditors.

Meet Fiona Breed, our Compliance Manager

Upon completing my BSc (Hons) degree in Biology and Geography in England, I began working for a multinational biotech company in London, focusing on Production, Quality, and R&D. Five years later, I relocated to Auckland with my Kiwi husband.

I spent the best part of 15 years in Auckland, working initially in Quality for the Biotech Industry and then finally taking the plunge into the Food Industry 12 years ago. My role as a Senior Quality Manager for one of the oldest and largest food manufacturers in New Zealand enabled me to gain valuable experience in food manufacturing, and a wide range of different auditing standards.

Six years ago, we moved to Tauranga with our 4 children for a better work life balance where I have been at Simply Meats since 2020 as the Compliance Manager. When I’m not at work, I can be found helping at my kid’s school or on the sideline at various sports across town.
